A delegation from the National Confederation of Labor in Morocco, headed by the Secretary-General of the Confederation, Abdelilah El-Halouti, received on Tuesday evening, October 27, 2020, Saud Al-Hejailan, President of the International federation of Asian and African trade unions.
The meeting, which took place at the central headquarters of the Union in the Lemon neighborhood of Rabat, began with the presentation of a “Generic” tape of the National Union of Labor in Morocco and its path since its founding in 1973 to the Seventh National Congress, where the two guests were briefed on a number of stations, positions, union activities, conferences and others that characterized the path of the National Union of Labor in Morocco.
In a speech on the occasion, the Secretary-General of the National Union of Labor in Morocco, Abdelilah El-Halouti, expressed his happiness with this meeting, which will be followed by other meetings with the aforementioned International Union to strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship for the benefit of the working class, noting that the union has international relations with a number of unions from friendly and brotherly countries. He is a member of international and Arab federations and bears the concern of the Palestinian cause through his membership in the global trade union coalition to support Jerusalem and Palestine.
For his part, Saud Al-Hujailan expressed his great happiness with this visit to the headquarters of the National Labor Confederation in Morocco, one of the main active members of the International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions, stressing the readiness of the Federation and its leaders to work together, exchange experiences and trade union cadres, and coordinate efforts in international forums to defend just peoples’ issues and spread social justice, stressing the The positions of the International Federation in support of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom and all its national constants.
At the end of the reception, shields of the two unions were exchanged between the Secretary-General of the National Confederation of Labor in Morocco and the President of the International Confederation of Asian and African Trade Unions.
It is noteworthy that the ceremony was attended by some members of the National Office of the Federation, and the Central Director of the Federation.
