Our Federation serves as a distinguished platform for advancing workers’ rights, strengthening institutional cooperation, and promoting constructive dialogue at both regional and international levels.

The establishment of IFAATU reflects our firm belief that modern trade unionism is a strategic partner in shaping economic and social policies, promoting decent work, protecting human dignity, and contributing to peace, stability, and inclusive development.

Representing millions of workers across two continents, IFAATU is committed to defending legitimate labor rights, promoting freedom of association, collective bargaining, equal opportunities, occupational safety and health, skills development, and social protection in accordance with internationally recognized labor standards.

The Federation places particular importance on building strategic partnerships with regional and international institutions. Our cooperation with the Asian-African Parliamentary Council, national parliaments, international organizations, trade union confederations, employers’ organizations, and civil society partners reflects our shared commitment to developing effective labor policies, strengthening social dialogue, and supporting sustainable economic growth.

Our vision is for IFAATU to become the leading trade union institution across Asia and Africa and a trusted international partner in promoting peace, human dignity, social justice, economic integration, and sustainable development.

Through our initiatives, international programs, and strategic partnerships, we continue to empower trade union leadership, support innovation, promote youth and women’s participation, and contribute to building resilient societies capable of meeting the challenges of the future.
