As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen parliamentary and trade union cooperation between the continents of Asia and Africa, Mr. Saud Rashid Al-Hujailan, First Deputy President of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council and President of the International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions (IFAATU), held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Mohamed Sbari, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Hujailan reaffirmed the firm support of IFAATU for the Kingdom of Morocco, its national institutions, and its sovereignty. He stressed the Federation’s consistent commitment to defending the rights of workers and employees, and to promoting professionalism and trade union justice throughout all Asian and African countries.
Mr. Al-Hujailan also emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between parliamentary institutions and trade unions, in a manner that serves the interests of the people and strengthens democratic representation and social justice.
He concluded by stating that the Asian-African Parliamentary Council and IFAATU welcome all initiatives aimed at enhancing parliamentary dialogue and unifying trade union efforts to build a common platform for mutual understanding and cooperation among nations.
