President of the International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions Visits the Libyan House of Representatives in Benghazi, Libya

The Head of the Administrative Office of the Libyan House of Representatives, Mr. Abdullah Al-Masri Al-Fadil, received at the Office headquarters in Benghazi Mr. Saud Rashid Al-Hujailan, President of the International Federation of Asian and African Trade Unions (IFAATU), accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Afro-Asian Parliamentary Council, Mr. Fayez Al-Shawabkeh, along with the accompanying delegation, within the framework of ongoing preparations for the upcoming Afro-Asian Parliamentary Conference scheduled to be held in Benghazi.

The delegation was also welcomed by the Deputy Head of the Administrative Office, Dr. Rasmi Balrouin, in addition to several directors of departments and offices within the House of Representatives Administration.

Following the reception ceremony, the delegation toured the Office headquarters, including the parliamentary library, where they reviewed its collection of books, encyclopedias, and documents, as well as the electronic library services and the modern cataloguing and classification systems adopted for knowledge management.

The visit also included the training halls of the Training and Development Department, where the delegation was briefed on the technical and logistical capabilities dedicated to supporting training activities, in addition to the photographic archives documenting the various historical stages of Libya’s legislative authority.

This visit comes within the framework of coordination and preparations related to hosting the upcoming Afro-Asian Parliamentary Conference in Benghazi, reflecting the city’s growing stability and development, while strengthening parliamentary cooperation between Asian and African countries.
